SpendLite ("the App") is a personal expense tracking application developed by Iliyan Angelov. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains how we handle your data.
SpendLite does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers.
All financial data you enter (expenses, categories, budgets, savings goals, debts, and settings) is stored exclusively on your device using a local database. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to export or share it.
The free version of SpendLite displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. Google AdMob may collect device information and advertising identifiers in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. Premium users who purchase the ad-free upgrade will not see any advertisements.
The App uses Google Play Billing for in-app purchases. Purchase transactions are handled entirely by Google Play and are subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
The App may fetch currency exchange rates from a public API (open.er-api.com) for the multi-currency feature. No personal data is sent in these requests.
The receipt scanning feature uses on-device optical character recognition (Google ML Kit). Receipt images are processed locally on your device and are not uploaded to any server.
The optional "Auto-Capture Expenses" feature requires notification access permission. When enabled, the App reads bank and payment app notifications to automatically create expense entries. This data is processed and stored locally on your device only. This feature is opt-in and can be disabled at any time from Settings.
All data is stored in an encrypted SQLite database on your device, protected by Android's built-in security mechanisms. If you enable biometric lock, an additional layer of authentication is required to access the App.
You can export your data as JSON backup files or CSV/PDF reports. These files are saved to your device's storage. Sharing these files is your responsibility and choice.
You can delete all your data at any time from Settings > About > Delete All Data. This permanently erases all expenses, categories, budgets, goals, debts, and settings from your device. Uninstalling the App also removes all data.
SpendLite is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
